A Little Behind!

Our happy family!

Hello All! So I am a little behind on the updates, but boy have we been busy. First of all, Jakob went for his official 4 month appointment last Friday and is up to 14 lbs 11 1/2 ounces and is 26 1/2 inches long (85 percentile!). He did great with his shots and we are slowly introducing more foods into his diet. He LOVES oatmeal and next week we are going to start rice & oatmeal with fruits in them. I'm sure he's as excited as mommy & daddy are. He has been hit or miss with his rolling over. We know he can do it, we just think that he doesn't want to. He still loves to stand and has started to try to sit up whenever he is in highchair, stroller, or sitting on our laps. For some reason, he just won't listen to me and SLOW DOWN!!!! :(

We also have added on to the Colclasure family. Yes, it's true we have a new kitten. He (at least we think he) has been with us since last Saturday, but we are really struggling coming up with a good name. As most of you know, both of the cats that we have had have had German names of friends of ours, so we want to stick to the German name theme, but can't think of a good one that fits yet. Any ideas are appreciated.

Jake & Daddy trying to pet a horse at the Fair!

Back to Jakob...we went to Evansville the end of July for a wedding and survived our first hotel trip as a family. Jake did great on the way down (almost 4 hours) but cried a lot on the way back. He was very cute in his little button down shirt and jeans and only needed to leave the church one time during the ceremony, which isn't bad for a Catholic wedding :) Last weekend we went to the State Fair since it was military day and we all got in for free. Leah & Brenden went with us and Jason & I adopted Izaiah & Sistene for the day so that they could go with us too. We all had a lot of fun, but it was really hot. Jake did great and only really fussed a couple of times in over 5 hours!!

Jake liked playing with Daddy's tie!!

We are looking forward to a visit to Fort Wayne next weekend to see Jakob's birthfamily, but we aren't so sure how he will do on the drive. Hopefully he'll do better than he did on the way home from Evansville, but we'll just have to wait and see. All right, enjoy the pictures and I really will try to be better with the updates!
